ROSEVILLE – Tomorrow, Commissioner Cassellius will be in Saint Cloud for her Back to School Tour. With the new school year right around the corner, Cassellius is visiting districts across the state to highlight efforts to support Minnesota students.
In a meeting with teachers, administrators, students, parents and community members, Commissioner Cassellius will hear about district efforts in a variety of areas, including literacy, STEM, nutrition, conservation and the community based education campaign, “Partner for Student Success.”
Through community ownership and collaboration, “Partner for Student Success” seeks to help students by supporting educational achievement, career/post-secondary readiness, and civic engagement in the community. The effort is governed by a task force that includes service providers, parents and representatives from District 742, the Chamber of Commerce and United Way, among others.
This stop of the tour follows a recent visit to the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan district. Commissioner Cassellius will continue her tour next week with a stop in Moorhead.
