Principal Evaluation Work Group

Education Commissioner Brenda Cassellius, in collaboration the Minnesota Elementary Principals Association (MESPA), and the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP), named members to serve on the legislatively mandated Principal Evaluation Working Group. The Working Group was created during the 2011 Special Session and charged with developing a model and making policy recommendations to implement a principal evaluation process in Minnesota.

The model and recommendations were presented to the Legislature in a report on February 1, 2012.  Materials from the Working Group meetings are posted below.  Meeting dates for the Working Group were held on October 24, November 7, November 14, December 5, December 12, January 19 and January 23.
