Teacher Observation: How to Create and Maintain Inter-rater Reliability |

Description: |
Participants will discuss and practice ways to build inter-rater reliability through training observers, defining observation rubric terms, collecting evidence during observations, and collaborating among multiple observers. Through this workshop, districts will meet Q Comp recommendations for comprehensive training for observers, which includes high-quality, inter-rater reliability training. Participants will be able to use their district rubrics to score teacher observations, identify a focus for classroom observations, apply techniques to collect and share evidence gathered during teacher observation, and practice scoring by viewing video recordings of actual teaching lessons. |
