Approved Online Learning Provider Review Team Members

The Center for Postsecondary Success is seeking volunteer review teams to assist in evaluating several Three-Year Self-Study sites opening for review on August 1, 2013. Specialists in teaching, curriculum, program planning, special education, charter schools, technology, finance, organizational development, standards, and other kinds of department expertise that would lend itself to a review of online programs, courses, and business operations are welcome to apply. Up to 15 volunteers are sought to work in teams led by Dr. Deborah W. Proctor, the department’s Online and Digital Learning Specialist. Individuals wishing to become Review Team Members will be asked to:

• Complete an online interest form
• Attend training. (CEUs available)
• Demonstrate understanding of the review criteria and consensus decision-making
• Use online forms, Internet, and suite of office productivity tools to complete a review
• Meet work deadlines for review training, meetings, events, and discussions
• Willingness to be a reviewer for August 2013 and August 2014
• Maintain confidentiality and follow a no contact rule with any provider during the application and review period.

Review Team Members will not be compensated. However, as the teams will assist the department in continuous improvement process connected to quality public online programs and courses members will earn recognition in a letter of commendation for valuable public services and be placed on a published list of Review Team Members on the Online Learning web page maintained by the department.

Please fill out the online interest form: Review Team Members selected will be contacted by May 15, 2013. Training will be available in June and July 2013. Approved Online Learning Self Study sites will be reviewed by teams starting on August 1, 2012 and the review work completed by September 30, 2013.

Online interest forms are due by April 30, 2013. If selected for service on a Review Team, you will be contacted, provided additional information, asked to identify any potential conflicts of interest, and then asked to make a commitment to serving as a review team member.
