Subject: Zero through Four-Year-Old Census Count by School District
In order to calculate revenue for the School Readiness and Early Childhood Family Education Programs, it is necessary to collect accurate data on zero through four-year-old children. The data should reflect a count of all zero through four-year-old resident children as of October 1 (age as of September 1).
This information must be recorded using the 0-4 Census Online Data Submission System, available on the Minnesota Department of Education website. Please submit data no later than December 2, 2013.
Please make sure that the data submission is completed by the appropriate personnel and that all concerned parties confer and agree on the numbers prior to submission. This information is important because it determines the amount of program funding for your district. Adjustments or back payments for errors discovered are not possible.
Late or amended figures will not be accepted after January 31, 2014.
If you have any questions regarding the submission of 0-4 Census Data, please contact Greg Sogaard at 651-582-8858 or email@example.com.
Note: this memo does not apply to charter schools.
