For FY 2014 only, an eligible district shall use its board-approved integration plan currently on file with the commissioner. These board-approved integration plans will serve as the basis for an eligible district’s FY 2014 budget.
Districts that have already submitted a FY 2014 budget may revise them, if necessary, to align proposed expenditures with the district’s total eligible revenue. For FY 2014 budgets, revisions should reflect increases or decreases of revenue that are a result of the new funding formula. These adjustments should be submitted electronically to email@example.com by September 27, 2013.
Districts should submit revised integration budgets using the Integration Revenue Budget Guide FY 2014 and the FY 2014 Budget Worksheet. These documents are available on the Integration page of the MDE website.
For FY 2015, districts will be required to develop new achievement integration plans and budgets aligned with the new requirements and components in statute. These are to be submitted to the commissioner no later than March 15, 2014 for review and approval.
