MDE E-mail Updates
Data SIG
The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) has embarked on a plan to upgrade and modernize our collection systems to reduce compliance burden for LEAs. Consequently MDE created a Data SIG to provide a forum for data submission and related data issues communications. The initial plan is to meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. here at MDE in the Conference Center A ITV/12 conference room for those who wish to attend in person. The meeting will also be available via WebEx for those wishing to attend remotely. Presentations and recordings of Data SIG meetings will be posted on this site.

1. Disciplinary Incident Report System (DIRS) Batch Processing for 2010. Refer to this web page for the latest information available regarding 2010 batch processing. As updated documents become available, they will be posted here, and will have notations of last updated date.

The example file is included for reference only. We expect substantial changes to these files, so they are for review and comment only.

Previous SIGS
- This word document describes the SERVS data submission file formats required for three separate data submissions. Those submissions include 1) GPA and Class Rank submission, 2) Pass at Individual Rate submission, and 3) Science Indicator submission. The Science Indicator submission will be open in SERVS from June 1-17. The other two submissions are scheduled for August.
- The first MDE Data SIG was held on 2-4-2009. That session was not recorded.
