The vision of the School Improvement Division of the Minnesota Department of Education is:

• To build the capacity of public school districts and charter schools to meet their mission.
• To increase the level of academic knowledge, mastery of 21st century skills and human development in order to minimize the achievement gap across all student groups.
• To partner effectively with district and charter school leadership in carrying out the statutory responsibilities, programs and services of the division.

A variety of WebEx tutorials have been developed to provide information to schools and districts regarding professional learning communities, teacher observation components, goal development, gifted and talented acceleration, and online staff development reporting.

Calendar of MDE Workshops, Trainings and Meetings

MDE, in response to input from Website visitors, is pleased to announce the launch of an agencywide calendar. The calendar includes all MDE-sponsored training, meetings and events.
