Crisis Management and Harassment Policies
Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 121A.035, each school district must adopt a district crisis management policy. The policy must include an individual district's plan to respond to potential crisis situations such as natural disasters, hazardous materials, weapons in schools, etc. The policy should include contact persons and their phone numbers, and be reviewed by school personnel in each building. The 2008 Comprehensive School Safety Guide below is a downloadable document that districts may use as a guide when developing and updating their plan. For additional crisis management planning resources, view the Minnesota School Safety Center website.
