The Research and Assessment division provides manuals and directions for administering the Title III and Title I tests to English language learners (ELL).
The Title III assessments include the Test of Emerging Academic English (TEAE), the Minnesota Student Oral Language Observation Matrix (MN SOLOM) and for learners in grades K-2, teachers complete the Reading and Writing Checklist.
The ELL assessment that can be taken in place of the Mathematics MCA-II to fulfill the Title I mathematics requirement for ELL is the Mathematics Test for English Language Learners (MTELL), a computer-delivered test. Software and manuals for administration of online tests as well as item samplers are available on the PearsonAccess Website. See Related Links.
