Business & Marketing

Through Business Education, students learn the basic principles of business, study personal finance, develop techniques for making wise consumer decisions, master economic principles and learn how businesses operate.

The multifaceted discipline of business education includes the functional areas of business (management, marketing, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship); factors that affect business (economics, international business, business law); basic skills (computation, information technology, communication); and examining business from different perspectives.

Business educators play a prominent role in developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for students to succeed in the workforce. The Business Education Today newsletter, available below, includes news, resources and events specifically designed for business educators in Minnesota.
