Agricultural Education

Agricultural Education prepares and supports individuals for careers in, and builds awareness and develops leadership for, the food, fiber and natural resources areas.

Agricultural curriculum develops management, job, communication, literacy and other applied academic skills, educates students for careers and lifelong learning, and helps learners become better informed as consumers.

The National Curriculum Content Standards for Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources are available on the Team Ag Ed Learning Center Website. A link to the site has been added under Related Links. You will be asked to register in order to download and use the standards.

The National Quality Program Standards for Secondary Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources can help those evaluating local agricultural education programs set clear goals and objectives for program improvement. Drawing on input from local, state and national leaders, they focus on relevant instruction, rigorous and clear goals, continuous program improvement and developing essential skills for student success. A link to the standards is located under the Related Links.
